Peggy Bell’s Bridge opening

For anyone interested in the fascinating visual history of the Breamish Valley contained in the Breamish Valley Photographic Collection, you’ll probably be intrigued to know that another vintage photo of Peggy Bell’s Bridge has been added to the growing collection.

We were recently contacted by Philip Walter. He was in possession of a postcard that was found in a clearance of a property in Bude, Cornwall. Philip has kindly sent a copy of the photo and also the reverse of the postcard showing the address to which it was sent and the message.

From the clues available on the postcard, we can date the photographic image to no later than 1908.
