Breamish Valley snow

Having seen the snow on them ‘ills a few days ago, followed by the frozen Branton lakes, it was fairly inevitable that the snow would reach the valley floor. And, sure enough, we all awoke yesterday to a carpet of snow all across north Northumberland.

I realise that the snow isn’t to everyone’s liking – especially if you do have to get out and travel to work – but it does transform the landscape into something quite wonderful.

A short walk up Crawley Hill, while quite hard going, was well worth the effort:
