So many volunteers have worked so hard to make this year’s Powburn Show a great success. The Powburn Show Committee had some new members this year and the whole committee has worked tirelessly.
It’s all go for The Powburn Show 2022!
Yesterday, the first of the Powburn Show 2022 Schedules – listing the events, classes and happenings – were distributed to community outlets in the local area; including the Hedgeley Services.
Having thought that the unthinkable just might happen, the Powburn Show Committee is pleased to announce that several people have stepped up and volunteered to help the Powburn Show to go ahead this year!
THE LAST POWBURN SHOW took place in 2019. Since then, the global coronavirus pandemic has prevented it taking place. Its organisation is overseen by a dedicated committee of volunteers who were looking to 2022 as the first opportunity since the start of the pandemic to have the Show up and running again and, once more, serving the local community. However…
It is with regret that the Powburn Show Committee announced yesterday (28 January 2021) that the Powburn Show scheduled to take place on 7 August 2021 has been cancelled owing to uncertainties related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As most local people know, the Powburn Show is the first of the annual Cheviot Sheep & Horticultural Shows. But, of course, owing to the coronavirus pandemic, it had to be cancelled this year, along with all other country fayres (including the Ingram Show).
It is with regret that the Powburn Show Committee has taken the difficult decision to CANCEL the 2020 POWBURN SHOW, owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Powburn Show is an annual festival enjoyed by the whole community. And everyone benefits! Money raised by the Show is donated back to the community when spare funds are available. In the past, we have donated money towards:
