RuralUs is a Lottery funded project that is here for anyone of any age who may feel lonely or isolated. We work with individuals from all over North Northumberland and connect them to groups or services that will enhance their wellbeing.
The Covid-19 vaccination programme is now being rolled out for high priority groups. On completion, other groups will be offered the vaccine.
We have received the following advice from Northumbria Police today.
Last night (11 Sep 2018), Hedgeley Women’s Institute had a visit and talk from a representative of Northumbria Blood Bikes.
Several members were surprised to learn that Northumbria Blood Bikes is a purely voluntary organisation that relies solely on charitable donations to carry out its work.
There was a good turnout for the free Defibrillator Training at Bolton Village Hall on Monday 14 May 2018.
The Stephen Carey Fund ran the training session with excellent demonstrations in how to provide effective CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator.
On 5 January 2016, we gave notice that the defibrillator that had been situated outside the Plough Inn in Powburn was to be relocated.
Robbie Burn (Chair, Hedgeley Parish Council) has now confirmed that the defibrillator has been relocated to the entrance (in the porch) of Breamish Hall, Powburn and is now fully functional.
