Still Flowering

Still flowering in autumn

The unseasonably warm weather over the past few weeks appears to have encouraged many hedgerow flowers to either keep on flowering or have another go.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

Albert Camus

All of these photographs were taken within the last week:

bright yellow dandelion
flowering white dead nettle
compound umbel
water aven
yelloe flowering gorse

The tints of autumn…a mighty flower garden blossoming under the spell of the enchanter, frost.

John Greenleaf Whittier
