Snow On Them ‘Ills

There’s snow on them ‘ills!

Following the recent ice day in the Breamish Valley and the suggestion of another Beast from the East, there was still some snow capping the Cheviots yesterday despite the temperatures having increased slightly.

As is typical of this time of the year, the light kept changing from moment to moment: some dark, sombre moods quickly followed by lighter, more cinematic and sunny colours.

The snow was pretty much confined to the high ground, as can be seen from the following photo taken looking across Hedgeley Lakes:

And all was clear and calm on the valley floor:
