Consequently, as ‘Richard’ was thought by his family to be an ‘unlucky’ name, Richard was never known by this name but as ‘Peter’ (not a middle name). |

- Believed to have died of sepsis. Local family report (May 2018) that he stood on a thorn that eventually poisoned him.
