Official plaque missing

On the morning of Wednesday 26 April 2023, Pip Rutherford and May Wilson of Powburn placed an official Queen’s Green Canopy plaque next to the trees in the paddock at Crawley Dene (at the South exit from Powburn). The trees were planted by the Hedgeley Parish Council to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. The following morning (Thursday 27 April 2023) the plaque had disappeared.

Pip and May have searched but we have not found it.

If anyone saw the plaque being removed we’d be grateful if you would let us know.

Similarly, if anyone knows of its whereabouts please let us know so that we can retrieve it.
