Mighty Hike 2023

The Mighty Hike – supporting cancer research

Kay Wilkinson of ‘Cheviot View’ Powburn will be doing what she can to help people living with cancer by doing a sponsored half marathon hike in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Kay will be doing the walk along the Northumberland Coast from Alnwick Castle to Craster with four women friends from her time in Leicester on 16 July 2023.

By agreeing to do the hike, Kay and each of her friends have committed to raising £250 each – that’s a total of £1,250.

There are almost 3 million people living with cancer in the UK. We predict this number will rise to nearly 3.5 million by 2025, and 4 million by 2030.

Donations welcome

Naturally, Kay is keen to have as many people as possible donate to this worthy cause – everyone’s life has or will be touched by cancer at some point. Whether you can give a little or a little more, any donations will be used to help improve the lives of people living with cancer.

How can I donate?

Kay has set up a Just Giving page where you can make a safe and secure online donation:

And there’s more…

To help to raise even more funds – and to add more joy to our local community – Kay is organising a Coffee Morning and Children’s Crafts event for Saturday 22 April 2023. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW!
