We know you are all concerned about what the new restrictions announced by the Prime Minister last night mean for you and your families.
Our Chief Constable, Winton Keenen, has now revealed how Northumbria Police will continue to engage with the public during these “unprecedented times”.
Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner Kim McGuinness has also urged residents in our region to “stay at home” and “stay safe”.

Further information about the restrictions can be found on the Government’s website and will be made available over the coming days when the finer details are finalised.
