‘Forgotten village’ calls for road-safety action on A697

We would like to extend our thanks to the Northumberland Gazette for sending one of their reporters to attend the Public Meeting about Road Safety and Speeding on the A697 held at the Breamish Hall in Powburn on 16 February 2015.

James Willoughby wrote an excellent piece in the Northumberland Gazette which was published on Thursday 19 February 2015. He highlights the fact that recent statistics demonstrate that around 2,000 drivers sped through Powburn in just one week.
