Country Music Charity Night at Breamish Hall

The charity night in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society took place last night (4 Nov 2023) at the Breamish Hall.

A full house enjoyed listening and dancing to the sound of country music artist Paul James.

A pooled supper meant lots of goodies to eat throughout the night, and a raffle contributed to the fund raising. The event was organised by Mary and Michael Weallans of Powburn. Mary’s mother passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease some months ago and so it was fitting that over £300 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia in the UK.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
