The Glendale Gateway Trust is encouraging community groups and organisations to apply to the Margery Stephenson small grants fund to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (Breamish Valley celebrations to be held in Ingram and Powburn).
Following Hedgeley Parish Council’s announcement of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations to be held on Friday 3 June 2022, a date has now been set for the first full committee meeting:
This year, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will become the first British Monarch to celebrate 70 years of service. In recognition, the UK Government has announced an extra Bank Holiday. This means there will be four days of celebration commencing Thursday 2 June – Sun 5 June (including the additional Fri 3 June Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday).
Hedgeley Parish Council is planning to join in the national celebrations as follows:
Following the Met Office’s weather warnings regards Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice that are expected on Wednesday 16 February through to Friday 18 February, Northumberland County Council has written to local councils to ensure they have all the relevant information to support their communities. Northumberland County Council and partners are preparing for these storms.

Having thought that the unthinkable just might happen, the Powburn Show Committee is pleased to announce that several people have stepped up and volunteered to help the Powburn Show to go ahead this year!
