County Cllr update

Regarding road danger on the A697, intervention measures had been suggested by K Cairns such as a roundabout and pedestrian crossing, however criteria for such infrastructures is hard to meet when pedestrian use is low, vehicle volume high and the road classified as an A road and there are  ongoing discussions with officers regarding other intervention measures that could be implemented.

Correspondence

Northumberland County Council – proposed 30mph speed limit at Hedgeley and Powburn – this had previously been identified within the Hedgeley parish plan – Cllr Burn had replied as Chairman of Hedgeley PC in favour of the proposals.
