Bolton Road Sign Planters
Village of Bolton Road Sign Planters installed
Following the installation of the Road Sign Planters in Powburn at the end of June 2020, two well-crafted planters have now been installed in Bolton.
Chris Armit from Newcastleton (in the Scottish borders, near Kielder), who made the six planters for the road signs in Powburn, also made two for Bolton. And yesterday (Saturday 18 July 2020), he delivered and installed them.

May Wilson (Chair of Hedgeley Parish Council) brought an array of plants to put into each planter.

Thanks!
So, once more, a BIG THANK YOU to Chris and May for all their hard work.
Can you help next year?

I happen to know that May dug up some flowers from her own garden to put into the Bolton road sign planters – that’s dedication for you!
To help keep future costs to a minimum, we’re asking anyone who grows their own flowers from seed each year, if they would be prepared to sow a few more flowers and donate them to Hedgeley Parish Council so that they can be used for the planters. Perhaps this is a small fun project that could be done with children/grandchildren? Your help would be much appreciated.
Anyway, we’ll remind everyone closer to Spring next year.
